The easiest option is to hook up the device to a BES server and apply the Default policy. If you don't have this as an option then you can do what is listed in the thread below. You will need to be familiar with editing the registry for this solution to work.

Check my link below, I've used this method many times to remove IT Policies, no editing of the registry required.
Very simple using JLCmdr.

Thanks for all your help.... This did the trick for me so far... I am now was able disable my password
settings ->options->security options->general settings->scroll down to services-> select-> scroll up to wipe handhold
