I have looked in the forum and cannot find any mention of this problem anywhere. I am sorry if I am doubling up. My issue is that when I sync by outlook calendar with my blackberry, I get reminders for appointments that are long past. I thought that all I would do is use the filter under the Advanced option to solve this by putting in place a filter so that only appointments with an 'end date' 'on or after' 'today' are sync'd. But when I do this all of my appointments with no end dates, e.g. birthdays disappear. Currently the way that I resolve it is by unticking the reminder in all old appointments but this is not very efficient. Can someone help by advising what filter I can use that will solve this.

Is the calendar being synched wirelessly or using the Desktop Manager? If you're using the Desktop Manager can you go into the Synchronization options and change the calendar's to only sync future appointments

My version of the Desktop Manager (PC version 5.0.1.28) has a checkbox that will, during syncronization, turn off notifications on past items.
From the Main Menu,
click on Syncronize,
then Syncronize Configure Syncronization,
then click on Syncronization.
Select Calendar with the mouse (not the checkbok next to Calendar, the word Calendar next to the arrows) and click on Setup.
It's the bottom option on the 3rd screen:
Alarm settings:
click to Remove alarm for past items

Thanks for the picture.
That's exactly the section I was talking about.
