Reply option missing from text menu

Hi all,

 recently my Bold has stopped the option for reply to text messages received. Also the response box does not appear below the received text. This happens with only 1 contact address, that has been used for 2 years). Other contacts are not affected.

Can someone help sort this please?

Use your BlackBerry to reset have effects and see if the problem is corrected.

Or try to delete the contact and re-add it.

Hi Ades,

Thanks for the suggestion.

 I don't know how to block an address so assume that is not it. I can receive text message but can't reply to it. I have to start a new conversation which doesn't have the original message. 

I have done a hard boot - the battery out while on etc, but no change.

 thanks for the message. 

I tried the delete contact and re-add but there has been no change. The hard boot didn't resolve the issue either. If I reset to default will that have any effect on other settings? Or is there a message settings menu that I can't see/ find that could worth trying?

Hi All,

 the issue has been resolved. It seems that the deletion of the contact, then a hard re-boot followed by the new contact details entry has worked.
