SMS sending error: message format not supported

Hi,

Ever since I switched to the new OS 6, I cannot send SMS messages to anybody. Here's the problem:

- I send an SMS to various people with different phones

- Various people tell me they cannot read the message, different phones (Nokia, Android) report getting "message format not supported"

- For some reason, only iPhone users can read my SMS

- Sending MMS works, but not SMS

My phone provider is WIND, and I was wondering if this is due to my provider or the new OS? I can only use BBM for so long lol.

Please use plain text.

Re: SMS sending error: message format not supported

Hi

Change the text messaging data decoding from 8 bit to 7 bit.

It worked for me.

To change the data coding scheme on the BlackBerry smartphone running BlackBerry device software 6.0 complete the following steps:

Open the Text Messages application.
Press the Menu button.
Select options.
Select Data Coding, and choose the desired option.
