Send/Receive Enterprise Emails via Wifi

Hi,

Is there a way to set the bold up to send / receive enterprise emails via Wifi when in a trusted network area?

Re: Send/Receive Enterprise Emails via Wifi

Hi,

In alll carriers that I know of, you pay for a Blackberry data plan, which allows you unlimited email over the mopbile network.

Once you have a plan the BB will recieve email.

The device will use wifi if you have set the browser specifically for browser but no, it will not use wifi as it needs the BB relay  to set BB emails.

Basically it comes down to this:

No BB Service = no BB emails.

Re: Send/Receive Enterprise Emails via WiFi

Hey Kris_Stuart69 and welcome to the forums,

You should have no problem at all sending or receiving email (BES or BIS) when connected to WiFi. When your Bold is connected to the mobile network and the WiFi at the same time, it will use WiFi as the preferred connection. You can test this by making sure WiFi is connected (Manager Connections -> Services Status) and it will show you which service is currently in use for Mobile Voice, BlackBerry Internet Service and BlackBerry Enterprise Service. When BIS and BES show a connection of "WiFi" you would be able to turn off the mobile network and you will still be able to send/receive email. Once you have done so, turn the mobile network back on and you will see the connection still showing as "WiFi" instead of "Mobile Network".

I hope this helps :smileywink:

Please explain in DETAIL what it is you are attempting to do?

You MUST have the BlackBerry data plan for on-device email.
