Temporarily kill e-mail?

Going on a caribbean cruise where AT&T charges up the wazoo for email received.  I'd like to kill only the email receive function for the duration of the cruise.  What is the most efficient way to do that?  (Will use email via wi-fi on the ship)

Have a BB Bold with AT&T as the provider.  AT&T tells me that it is free to receive text and I can chose to answer an incoming call or not, but email (spam) could get expensive.

Please use plain text.

You canNOT disable ONLY the receiving of emails. It is either kill all email or none.

Re: Temporarily kill e-mail?

Good deal...the best way to kill ALL (send and receive) email for a week...so that it is fairly easy to restart...??

You said "You can disable ONLY the receiving of emails"...was that a mistype? The receiving is what I really want to kill...I didn't think I could kill the receive and keep the send.

Please use plain text.

Re: Temporarily kill e-mail?

I meant you can not do so. Corrected.

You would log in to your carrier's BIS site where the email was set and edit the email account and there you will find a check box "do not foward messages to device" or about that.
