Re: Too Many Apps?

Download too many, nope, your device application memory will alert you when it's full or near.

Running too many apps at one time... yes. That can severely slow the device processor.

Re: Too Many Apps?

Thank you for your reply.  How can I tell if too many apps are running and how do I force them down?  Do I just click on each one and make sure they are closed using the blackberry button?  I have had a recurring problem of my 9780 going into constant reboot mode out of nowhere when downloading off BB App World.  From desktop and from WIFI.

Re: Too Many Apps?

On the homescreen of your BlackBerry, press and hold the Menu key about two seconds.

You will see the icons of the applications running in the background.

Close them each, for the icons for the homescreen, phone, mail and BBM you can't close them.

For the browser, make sure you choose Menu > Close. It will still appear in the list, just make certain you have closed any active web pages.

Re: Too Many Apps?

One more question - is that why my BB nuked because of too much running and downloading too much at the same time?

Re: Too Many Apps?

Nuked, what do you mean?

It can drain the battery and really slow down the processor.

You're really going to need to provide more information.

On reboot, how far does the device get into the reboot... you see the white scroll bar at the bottom of the screen?

You see the operator logo at startup?

Or what?

Re: Too Many Apps?

OK - This has happened many times now and I have just wiped the device clean and started over.  But Im getting sick of doing this and worried I am damaging my device for the longterm.  The BB logo shows on each reboot and the screen goes black again halfway through the reboot attempt and then starts all over again.  I hope this makes sense. Thanks again - J
