Hello, I hv Bold 3 9700... bt suddenly my trackpad is nt working. It  happn all of a sudden. When i click a home button that time it works bt whn it comes to home screen it doesnt works.. it gets stick. Can anyone help me...

Anytime random strange behavior or sluggishness creeps in, the first thing to do is a battery pop reboot. With power ON, remove the back cover and pull out the battery. Wait about a minute then replace the battery and cover. Power up and wait patiently through the long reboot -- ~5 minutes. See if things have returned to good operation. Like all computing devices, BB's suffer from memory leaks and such...with a hard reboot being the best cure.

Bt all of sudden it happn so.. n also facing battery problem.. aftr a particular battery level my phone gets switched off automatically n thn i hv to tk out the battery n insert again..

OK lets resolve your battery issue first OK...it's too difficult to try and diagnose different problems at the same time. Also, would you mind posting with complete words, sentences, etc.? It's hard for some of us to interpret "text speak"...thanks.

To test your battery, this sequence is needed:

1. Obtain a known good and already fully charged additional battery...use it in your BB and see what happens
2. Obtain access to a known good and identical BB...use your battery in it and see what happens

The results of this will indicate if it's your BB or your battery that has the problem.

I had a similar problem with the trackpad. I pulled the battery. Left it out for more then a minute as was suggested. Why? so that all the stored energy is allowed to drain out. I was returning the battery to quickly.

Thanks for that...in very rare circumstances, leaving the battery out longer does indeed make a difference. For the majority of cases, leaving it out for a minute (or even less) is OK...but sometimes leaving it longer does make a difference.
