The new blackberry bold is a complete piece of **bleep**. I have the same problem, cannot log in. And I am currently on phone with the technical support, and its has been 1 hour and 20 minutes, that they are trying to fix the problem. I mean what were they thinking before releasing the phone? The do not have a solution for this. Their technical support team are not even aware of the problem. And they charge $49 dollars for the technical support.
They just put me on hold for five minutes, come back and tell me to try logging in again. It does not work, im put on hold again, they come back. Nothing is working out. I almost paid $900 for this phone.
Such a disappointment,
I shall post the update, only if they are able to solve my problem, if not I will break the Handset in front of their office and switch to iphone.

If the security wipe out doesn't work try the steps below. Make sure to back up your data.
To perform a reset to factory you would need to download the desktop software 6.1 version. If you have anything other version delete it before downloading the install 6.1
Install the Blackberry Desktop Software
You can install 6.1 from
Then once its installed
1. Open the program
2. Connect your device
3. Back Up your device
4. In the top right hand corner click the ?
5. Click Support Resources
6. Click Reset

Having the same problem on the 9810.
Tried both a security wipe and from desktop software and still doesn't work.
Consistently get "Unable to login to your Blackberry ID account".
Unable to do anything with my apps/podcasts etc without this. Driving me crazy and been weeks and weeks.
Getting very tired of this from RIM. Come on guys, we want to like the new OS we really do.

I'm encountering the same "cannot login to your Blackberry ID" screen when prompted to login. however, i get the login screen once my 9900 is switched on. because i cant sign in, i cant go to the phones homescreen. all i can do is either "wipe" or turn off the phone.
i undertsand many of you can use the phone and are unable to sign in, but does anyone face the same issue i am? not being able to sing in to USE the phone?
