I downloaded the BlackBerry Protect application. However, I decided against running it because it asked that I first disable my device memory Encryption. I do not want to invite trouble for my phone by disabling the Encryption. And so I have Protect icon sitting on top of my screen, really annoying. Should I go ahead and install the Protect? What can happen to my phone if I disable the Encryption?
I would appreciate help

I think it means that there are updates available for some of your applications.

This usually shows up when you tried to load a webpage in an area where you did not have Internet coverage.
You must be having a message in your messages folder that indicates that the webpage is now available.

is flashlight icon to download on BB apps world

Just like the other notification icons mentioned in this thread, look in your main Messages folder and find the notification and read it delete it, and the icon will go away.

Goto messages - menu key - advanced search option - check unread - search all messages, you will get a list of unread messages.

I have one unknown icon at the top of my home screen, its look like a sheld looking with gray color and has a letter s in the middle, also at the bottom right side has a yellow triangle looks like a warning sign! Please help me if anybody knowns anything about it. My phone model is 9700 bold! I will be apprecieted!
