Hi, I have a hand-me-down blackberry 9700 which I got unlocked because I live in china, and have a china mobile sim card is place. It is able to make and receive calls as well as receive all text messages. However, certain people do not receive my text messages, even when I reply directly to their message. Others do receive them. Is it because of their provider? Is there any way to fix this? Thanks in advance for any help!

Hello Elizbeck,

Issue mentioned in your post is at destination end only. As you stated, you are able to make calls and texting as well.

You may try later, may be they are not receiving text message because of poor network connectivity

Hi Elizbeck,

Attempt to send the SMS message using the General Packet Radio Service (GPRS) network. To perform this, complete the following steps:

1. On the Home screen of the BlackBerry smartphone, navigate to Options > SMS.
2. Scroll to the field Network To Send Over.
3. Open the menu and select Change Option. Change the value of the field to GPRS.
4. Open the menu and select Save.
5. Attempt to send another SMS message.

If the issue persists, contact your service provider for further assistance.

Iansantos - GPRS is not an option under Network to Send Over...only circuit switched, circuit switched preferred, packet switched, and packet switched preferred. This means absolutely nothing to me would one of these be the one you're talking about?
