 I went to update my phone after the message came through this morning and overall back up progress is stuck at 15% for the last hour and phone network is off etc.


how do i solve this and will data be lost?

How do you solve this?  Unplug your phone, shut down BlackBerry Desktop Software, fire up BDS again, plug your phone back in and wait for it to be recognized by the software.  If it's not, have a look at this article:




Will any data be lost?  It's a possibility, but I'm sure you've faithfully done data backups with BlackBerry Desktop Software, in which case this will not be an issue.
