My Carrier: Rogers

Updating to 6.0

I have a Bold 9700 which has OS 5 on it. I have my Rogers SIM card from my previous BB Curve 8520 in it.

I have been trying to update to 6.0 but have not had any luck. I've tried the following methods:

1) Using the desktop manager on a Mac and a PC.
2) Downloading the .exe file and using the installer + desktop manager.
3) Using apploader.

All of these have ended in my BB not recognizing the update and therefore I have not had the option to install OS 6 on my 9700.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.
