Upgrade Blackberry Bold 9790 to OS 7.1 using a mac

I have recently purchase my 9790 and it is now telling me to update to OS7.1.
When I use the website update/support section the file which downloads isn't for a mac.
What am I doing wrong. Can anyone help?

I've downloaded the Desktop Software which runs fine.

Now, how do I get an email account? What's BIS?

BIS or BlackBerry Internet service will allow you to use many BlackBerry native services like personal email services,BBM etc. For that you have to call your carrier or mobile service provider they can add that on your account .

Also good to know you are able to update your device OS.
