Hi,
I currently have 6.0 Bundle 1306 (v6.0.0.359) installed on my Bold 9780. I recently had an issue with BB App World (the icon went missing). I had to revert to an older version of BB App World since the installed OS is old.
Is there some way i can update the OS to its latest version?

First, see if your carrier offers an update. To do this, there are two ways. You can plug your phone in to your PC, open BlackBerry Desktop Software, click Device at the top then Update or you can just do it from your phone by going to your homescreen and following Options>Device>Software Updates.
If your carrier does not offer an updated version but later versions exist, you can download one from any other carrier worldwide. To do this, have a look at this thread in these forums:
Follow the instructions, except in step number 1 you'll be looking for another carrier's download site, not your carrier's. Make sure you first find a carrier that is offering a newer version. Then in step 2, once you've located the loader.exe folder, you have to delete the "vendor.xml" file.

Thanks Bill!
I checked on my phone and it says 'Blackberry is currently up-to-date'. Am guessing the carrier does not allow it to upgrade.
Another query - the OS version i have was loaded in Nov 2010. I think there would have been more than one update to OS since then. Should i go for the newest version (thru the method u suggested) or will i have to go for an older version?
Also, will taking the BB to a authorized Blackberry center help?
Thanks in advance
