Bold 9000
OS 4.6.0.304 (Platform 4.0.0.247)
I am trying to upgrade my BB os but don't have a data plan. So I took sugesstion from this forum and downloaded the device os software. Installed it and deleted the "vendor.xml" file. Switched off my internet cunnection, than ran the "loader.exe". In this wizard it only showing the apps which I have installed in my phone. There is no sign off any os in this wizard. Could any one sugesst what I should do.

Perhaps you didn't install the 9000 version of the file?
Can you say what the filename is of the file you downloaded and installed?
Also, don't just "switch off" off your internet to your PC,... UNplug the connection as well.

Search your entire PC for "vendor..xml" and delete all instances of it.
Then empty your recycling bin and try again.

Found two other vendor files in hiding C: directory. Had to delete them all. This time the update files was found but there was an error with ABORT RETRY IGNORE options. The update started when I ignored the massage. Now using os 5![]()
But now having problem connecting my BB with desktop manager. Reinstalled several times but no improvement. ![]()
