Video/audio out of sequence when playing a video file.

I have a BB 9650 with O/S 5..0.0.975.

Main issue is that the voice and video of a video file are not in sync.  The video plays slower than the voice.  I believe that it is true for all video files.  They were all loaded via BB Desktop Manager and all the files have the same extensions (MP4) .  They play fine on my computer.

Please don't tell me to load O/S 6.0.  That OS does has so many bugs that it is useless.  I have loaded it twice over the course of 6 or 7 months and both times it simply fails to function properly.

Re: Video/audio out of sequence when playing a video file.

Yes, for my 9650. I convert my videos to MP4 using a program I found on the web. Then I connect my BB like a thumb drive to my computer. Then I copy the videos, all in one folder just for this purpose, directly to the phone. I put them in the phone file blackberry/videos. That has worked in the past. It does not always work with every BB. I have an 8830 I use in Europe and I still have problems with those videos.

I too drag and drop movies in the video folder on the BB - i have 35 films on there and all work mint on my mac but yeah watching them on my bb after a while they outsync the audio on the movie. Re: Video/audio out of sequence when playing a video file.

I'm sorry but I do not have any other ideas.  My 8830, after a while, does not recognize some long videos and simply stops after playing a portion.  Other videos try to start but hang up.  On these I can move the cursor/slidebar to the middle of the video and it will run from there.  One point I will make, I almost never reboot my 8830 since it seldom has problems and rebooting does not solve the video problem, I tried.  My 9650 seems to work even after a long time.  I have absolutely no idea why this happens and why I can't sync videos via BB DeskTop Manager.  But in all honesty - software has never been a strong point for BB, encryption yes, dependability sort of, but software - no way.  I still refuse to load OS 6 because it simply doesn't work and takes almost 500% more RAM.  I hope you can get satisfaction.  Regards.

Re: Video/audio out of sequence when playing a video file.

Hi RADIKAL69

If you are watching a movie, I would recommend ensuring no other applications are running (aside from the core apps such as Messages, Home, Phone, BBM and Browser).  You can do this by holding the menu key to see which apps are running and going into each one to close them by holding the back button, or by pressing Menu>Close/Exit.  Also, for best performance, turn off all network connections.

If the BlackBerry is processing your movie and trying to process other tasks in the background, this could cause lag in the audio sync.

Thank
