Where have all the pre-loaded Tones gone to?

I had some problems with my BOLD 9900 recognizing my BlackBerry ID, so I thought the clever move would be to take the battery out whilst the phone was on, but the phone has now lost all pre-loaded Ringtones, Notifier Tones,Reminder Tones, Alarm Tones.

The shop I bought the phone from said it would take two weeks to repair it.

The shop I didn't buy the phone from said they have a straight swap policy with Blackberry.....(I'll buy my next phone there)

Another shop said they could fix it by wiping the phone and downloading the software anew, but for a price.

Who knows how all these pre-loaded Tones can be returned to the phone?

Are you talking about the old OS5 ringtones, or the smaller subset of OS6/OS7 ringtones?

Welcome to the Community,

As you told your pre loaded tones ( which comes with your device ) were lost but can you confrm that you had tried customizing your profile management, or type ringtones in your search box to look out and search for it so Please confirm that you had performed this steps to make sure it is completely lost And as far as battery pull restart is concerned it never loses any data and setting although it is needed for our smartphone have a look at this Reset a BlackBerry smartphone . Do let us know.

Hello Prince,

Thank you for welcoming me to the Community and your reply.

My usual alarm and notifier sounded like NOT the ones I had chosen, that worried me ~ It is when I typed in 'Ringtones' in the search box that I discovered it said 0 Ringtones, Notifier, Reminder, Alarm tones... so I feel they really just disappeared.

It is very helpful that you have given me the 'Reset a BB smartphone' , I will look at that now, but may only have till after the weekend to really do it.

I wish I knew, but since it is a new BOLD 9900 I suppose it can only be the OS 7 ringtones.
