I recently updated my Blackberry OS on desktop manager and since then my screen is just white..

There are no error messages, no flashing red lights no nothing, just different shades of white as you see when the screensaver is just about to come on.

I know my phone is still working because I can recieve text messages so for sure the sound is working too however I can't read them or do anything on the phone because all I see is a white screen.

I've tried taking the battery out for a while then turning it back on again but it doesn't seem to work.

It's asif the phone can't get past the start up stage as I'm sure any blackberry gets a white screen just as they turn the phone on, however it goes onto the Vodafone screen straight after normally...

Any help at all would be greatly appreciated!

I've tried searching for similar problems however the ones I can find are concering certain Error codes or other issues.

I would try to reload the OS on my phone again. If you're able to I'd back a backup of all the data on your device using the Backup and Restore feature. Afterwards go back through the Application Loader and choose the option to erase all applications and data. After it finished try using the Backup and Restore feature to restore your data to the device.

Phone is defective, send it back to your service provider. Realoding the OS might not help at all.

Most carriers wont accept a return unless you have relaoded the OS, so do that first....

I just tried erasing all application data but no luck, now I'm downloading another OS to try and install that. Thanks for the help though, I really hope it's gunna work...

Will post again in an hour or so once it's finished downloading + installing.

No luck, still doesn't want to change from a blank white screen. Guess Blackberry's aren't so reliable after all. Thanks for all your help though, worth a try eh?

Defective it is, I had a similar problem, except my blackberry displayed rainbow colors.

That is true, only if the version of the software is not supported by the service provider. If it is then there is no need in reloading the software, unless the device contains sensitive information.
