Why does my headphone jack not work?

I have a standard headphone jack that worked on my 8520, but it doesn't work on my 9900.

Anyone know why?

Does the phone ONLY accept the headphone/mic that comes with the phone?  Which is a bit bad, as I think ALL phones that have headphone sockets, allow you to plug your own headphones in them - even down to big clunky headphones.

Re: Why does my headphone jack not work?

I sorted it.  Some old Philips headphones worked, whereas the other ones I had didn't.

No idea why, but fine now.

On the audio subject, anyone had a problem with their MicroSD card in the Bold 9900, because sometimes mine shows the songs available and pictures.  and at othertimes,it says it's empty.  So I have to take out battery, then card, then back and boot up.,
