Hi, I'm having trouble to connect via a Wifi network.
My network is setup properly, even the name of the network appears next to the name of my carrier. The wifi diagnostic tool doesn't show anything not normal (the IP address is okay, signal strengh also, etc.). But, even though everything seems find, the little "WiFi" icon still shows grey out the main screen and no network name next it, thus not enabling me to use the wifi capabilities. Sometimes it quickly changes to white and then I'm able to access internet for a couple of minutes over WIFI and then it changes back to the grey icon. At this time the WIFI diagnostic is still fine but I'm no longer able to ping the wireless router ip adress...
Any solutions for that?

Sounds like DNS issues. When it goes back to grey if you use the DNS lookup tool can you lookup a common internet website and have it resolve the IP address? Are you on a BES or just BIS?
Note the icon doesnt need to be solid white to use the WiFi/Hotspot browser. The white icon just means you have connectivity to either BES or the BlackBerry Infrastucture for WiFi traffic.

The router is fine. BB's MAC adress is in the client table. DHCP is configured. The strange thing which I noticed is, when I turn WIFI on my BB on, then it's mostly not pingable from my home pc. But in some cases it is for quite a short time.
The router is also used for other mobile devices and with them I have no problems. I would say the router is fine.
I would rather guess, that the BB itself stops the connction?

Hi, it´s a provider-problem.
You have to use the max. buisiness-fee to get all option.
Vodafone Germany installed first a small tarif... Wifi was grey.
Now I have the max. tarif and wifi is white. If you turn the data-transfer for the mobil connection off, than wifi is grey. VF-Ger say it must be ON and every app go over wifi if possible.... I will se it on the bill.....
