Hey guys, recently my BB 9900's youtube app has been acting up. Usually when I connect to the internet via WiFi any of the videos I watch are good quality. I'm not talking about LCD vs Plasma quality, I mean as in 240p vs 360p, etc. At first I thought it was my internet, but I'm now at a friends house who uses 30 Mbps internet, and it still insists on using 240p. If that isn't fast enough for 360p I don't know what is. I'm currently with Bell with OS 7.1. I'm not sure how to attach a picture via mobile, so I uploaded it onto imgur.

By the way, it says the video is playing in 3gp mode? Not sure what effect that might have that as I'm not sure if that's the default.

EDIT: By the way, I've tried pulling out the battery for a minute, updating and resetting my phone to factory default.

it depend's resolution on your bb to show the video

I am having the exact same problem on my torch, and it started two days ago too and nothing fixes it. My videos used to play normal quality and now its crappy, there's other ppl with the same problem thag started the same time as us. Is there any way to fix this and what's causing this?

Just out of curiousity, what exactly do you mean by my blackberries resolution?

I've been playing at least 360p videos for a while. I've just been getting this problem recently.

I know my friend's BB 9900 works fine, and she updated hers too?

I have the Torch and I'm experiencing the same problem as well. I'm always connected to my home wifi and YouTube usually plays fine. Whenever I'm watching over 3G, however, it'll play in 240p. For the past week or so, I've been trying to play YouTube videos under my wifi like normal, though its playing in 240p like it does under 3G. I've tried, like, everything, but, no luck.

Alright guys. I found a TEMPORARY solution, it isnt optimal and its a pain in the **bleep** but:
Say you want to play this video in HD:
http://m.youtube.com/#/watch?v=hRVOOwFNp5U
In my case, if I click it, it'll play in 240p, once again.
BUT, if you remove the "m." before youtube.com, and remove "/#" after .com, it'll load up in better quality.
So the above link would change to:
http://youtube.com/watch?v=hRVOOwFNp5U
That should fix the problem for now, until someone finds a permanent fix.
