Version is o 6 and my I've 9900 ... Its showing - A problem caused the program to stop correctly ! First I downloaded o6 then it bi mistakely got deleted then re downloaded and installed o5 then it was asking for update .. As I updated , there was a potential threat in my pc .. So I deleted that file .. But along with it even 1 imp file got deleted bcoz aftr that I opened desktop manager .. It was showing problem ... Then I thought of deleting it completely and downloaded and installed again .. Again its showing the same problem ! Any solution ?? Which imp file might have got deleted ??? Kindly reply

Please un-install DM from Control Panel & restart PC.

Download desktop software version 7 from www.blackberry.com & then try to install it carefully, ensure to select correct country, while insatllation.

I did as u said . I un installed DS 6 from control panel and then installed DS 7 carefully with India as my prefered country .. Still no result .. Help !

Okay .. I went to control pannel and clicked on repair of blackberry desktop software 7 .. There its showing blackberry desktop software.msi is missing ! So this file is missing .. Kindly help ! From where can I install this file ?

Did you restart your PC after deleting DM v6 as the other poster suggested?

Either way, try a restart of your PC now and see if that helps.

Oh have you actually installed the DM software? After you download it, you must install it on your PC. There will be a setup wizard which opens to guide you through. Did you do that?

DM was already installed ... Should I delete it and install it again ? As I connect my cell the desktop manager icon I can see down in my task bar .. So should I re install it ? I've restarted several times

I'm sorry I thought desktop software ! Nope I've no idea be4 I just used to intall desktop software ... I've installed 7.0 NW I guess I'll install desktop manager and get check if its working ! I thought desktop manager comes in desktop software .. Hold on !

No hang on! Desktop Manager is just the old name for Desktop Software. When abbreviating, a lot of users still call it DM.

So they're the same thing.
The only different things you might have are Desktop Software and Device Software, which is an OS for your phone.

Perhaps this KB article will help   Windows Installer cannot find the xxxx.MSI file
