blackerry will not sync following software upgrade

following recent software update version 2.4.0 i cannot sync. Error message " an error was encountered while syncing ZERO" appears. Re-loaded software no resolution. No info on web.

Welcome to the BlackBerry Support Community Forums.

 

Thanks for the question.

 

Does this error appear when synchronizing your contacts or calendar?  

 

Go to Device>Forget Device in BlackBerry Desktop Software for Mac.  Once completed close down Desktop Software and re-open it and setup the synchronization again and test the sync.

Cheers. Do not get the ZERO message but the software now says I have no ical - create new calendar and notes says the same. However both are active and correct. The only thing that i can think is icloud is on and I wondered whether this is having an effect. I have tried making new calendar but still not recognised.

 

Any advice.

Hey ijm64,

 

Sorry for the delay in replying.

 

If iCloud is enabled, that could be the main problem!  Currently BlackBerry® Desktop Software does not synchronize data that is iCloud enabled.

 

Try disabling iCloud and restart the Mac and try to setup the synchronization again.
