Yes it works on my bold 9900 in the top of the front screen under manage options it comes as a feature.  you need to contact your cell company to see if they are supporting this feature.  From the time I posted my original comment hear it simply did not work on my phone and i gave up and then one day my phone gave me the option of mobile hotspot so i am pretty sure this is a cellular provider issue for you.  The phone has always been touted as being able to do this and it works well. 

Maybe Blackberry activated this feature but between the two it simply appeared.  I was going to trade my BB in as soon as I could to get this feature but now I don't have too.
