bold headset/speakerphone issues

Hi,

 

I've had my 9700 for about a year now without any problems, but out of nowhere my speakerphone option has disapeared. The Speaker works fine, it plays music and ringtones, however when I'm in a call and want to switch to speakerphone mode, it switches to headset mode, even if headphones aren't plugged in. I've tried to to use the menu to switch to speaker mode aswell as the $/speaker button on the keyboard, but it always goes to headset mode? I have tried reseting the phone, but the problem persists, if anyone has had a similar problem and has found a way to fix it, I would really appreciate a message,

I would suggest performing a backup of your BlackBerry smartphone then reloading the software as shown in the article below:
