calendar

My calendar has gone blank, and syncronizing it with my Outlook calendar failed to restore it. What do do?

Re: calendar

Hi rontyler,

Welcome to the Support Community!

Could you provide more information about the issue with your BlackBerry® Bold™ 9000 smartphone calendar please? Did you receive any error on your BlackBerry® Bold™ 9000 smartphone when your calendar went blank? Is your calendar information still in Outlook? Do you receive notification that calendar changes are being applied when you synchronize?

Thanks.

-FS

Re: calendar

Thanks for the reply. I got no warning at all. It just went blank. I checked to see if the memory was full, and it was. I restarted the phone and that cleared up about 22 megabytes of space. My information is still in Outlook, but when I synced the phone with Outlook, it only copied calendar dates from today forward. It no longer has the "history" part of the calendar, which I would like to restore as well.

Re: calendar

Hey rontyler,

It sounds like the BlackBerry® Desktop Software may be configured to synchronize future items only. This KB article should help you check this setting. "Calendar does not synchronize during the wired synchronization process" http://bbry.lv/KPykZF

Thanks.

Re: calendar

I must be using an earlier version of the software. My Blackberry Desktop Manager does not have the options that the article describes. I checked the sync for my calendar, and it is set for two-way communication.

Re: calendar

Hey rontyler,

What version of BlackBerry® Desktop Software do you have installed?

Re: calendar

Hey rontyler,

In BlackBerry® Desktop Software 4.6, you should be able to choose your date range for synchronization after selecting two way sync. Task 2 in this KB article should help you find the setting. "Calendar items occurring in the past are being deleted from the calendar application on the computer" http://bbry.lv/KKQSel

Cheers.
