Anyone know if there's any way to switch off the charge lamp when the phone is off - it sit right next to me when I'm in bed, and it flashes all the time until its charged.

just one of those annoying things...

PS< also wondering, can I temporarly switch off email accounts, so that they are not pushed to my bold all the time?

What color is the charge lamp on your model, is it green?

Are you talking about on the device or on the charger?

You can go to connections and turn off data services to stop the emails,

but you will lose the internet and text as well.

Had the same problem - flashing green light that lit up the ceiling. I simply took my BlackBerry holster and slipped it over the top of the unit. Light covered. Now I can sleep.

The flashing green light is actually the coverage indicator.

Color	Description
Green	The BlackBerry smartphone is in an area of wireless coverage.
Red	A new message has arrived.
Amber	The battery is low.
Blue	The BlackBerry smartphone is connected to a device enabled with Bluetooth® wireless technology.

Complete the following steps to disable the green network notification LED on your BlackBerry device:

1. Open Options or Settings and select Screen/Keyboard.
2. Select Network Notifications or LED Coverage Indicator, depending on the BlackBerry device type.
3. Change the option to No.
4. Display the menu and click Save.

I'm with "thecount" here - with the Bold completely off, the LED lights when charging.  This is nothing to do with wireless coverage or notification.  Sleep time for me would be good charge time for the Bold, but the illumination makes this somewhat impractical.

Sorry, I completely missed the boat on this.

I never turn my BB off therefore I didn't realize the amber light flashes when you charge, powered off.

Unfortunately there isn't a way to turn this off. If you place your phone in quiet profile and charge it

there will be no blinking LED. If you would prefer it be powered off when charging I would suggest laying

face down on a soft surface (a Crown Royal Bag would be perfect)
