cannot retrieve BBM messages and there is no "advance" option on Desktop

Hi,

 

I have been trying to restore my earlier BBM messages through Desktop. Instead it wiped out my existing messages. I back up all messages on desktop when I sync contacts. So I am sure all my BBM messages are somewhere in the back up. Please advise how to restore?

 

Please note that there is NO "advance" option in Blackberry desktop software V6 for Bold 9700.

Hey Chaudryam1,

Welcome to the BlackBerry Support Community Forums.

 

When you restore data from a backup file to a BlackBerry® smartphone all data will be replaced with the data in the backup file, so the data that was on the device would have been over written.
