Hi there,
Do you have a Windows based computer available? As far as I know, and I have both Desktop Software running (WIndows and Mac) the Mac Version of the Blackberry Desktop Software has a lot less features available, if you have one Windows based computer available try installing the Desktop Software and running everything there.
Now, I have a question, if your BB device has Portuguese and English how are you trying to install French? In order for you to keep/remove languages they have to be in your device first, as a matter of saving memory on your device Carriers like Tmobile, Vodafone, Rogers, ATT, etc, just gives you the device with some Languages installed, meaning if your Device has only those two there is no way for you to install French unless you get a Software Version with French on it.
Where can you get a Software Version with French? I'm not sure if Rogers new version has it, but since they are a Canadian Carrier I expect the software to have French on it, you can ask that question in this forum, I'm sure that somebody will reply to you.
Hopefully you will get your problem solved.

Hello.
All my languages got wiped when I was setting up my phone. I set up the desktop manager (on my mac) and under applications reinstalled the language thing. but there is NO french on it. Or spanish. My mobile provider is telus mobility, and i am located in Quebec! it makes no sense that there is no french on it!!! (i am sure i saw it on the phone, before it got quickly wiped)... is there another language thing i can download?
Let me know if you have any ideas. Thank you.

Hello,
I just got a blackyberry 9900 bought on amazon, and the guy had deleted all the languages when he first used the blackberry. Now, I need to add a language (French), and I don't know how to do it!
I don't have a PC, only a Mac, and everything on this bby website gives advice for PC...
Any help? It's quite urgent.
