cant update softwear on phone

hi i have a blackberry bold i cant update the soiftwear on it it keeps saying neeed an active service and give a web link to go to but the web link does not exist what is an active service and how do i get one and how do i upgrade

Which model you have and what OS version is currently installed on your device.

 

The message indicates that you don't have any active BlackBerry Data Plan on your account , Can you confirm if you have that ?
