Can anybody explain why calendar data is being deleted after so many days, weeks, etc? It is being deleted both from my Blackberry and in outlook. I have checked the synchronization settings on my desktop softward and there does not seem to be anything that I have selected that would delete information. This is rather critical since I don't keep paper copies of my calendar.

Hi and welcome to the forums!

On the Blackberry, go to the calendar, options, general options, scroll to Keep Appointments, select forever.

On the PC desktop software setup the calendar options to use Transfer date range, I use two years on each side.

Also make sure you use conflict resolution to notify you. Saves the BIG headaches

Thanks very much for this. That seems to be an easy fix. I am confused about the transfer dates. Do you want me to put 2 years in "transfer items within a range of days (i.e. 730 days)",

Is that necessary?

That's how long I hang on to my appointments, before archiving on Outlook. You can put the date range that you

deem sufficient.

Necessary? ..I'm a belt and suspenders type guy

Thank you so much for this solution! I've had this problem ever since I got my 1st BlackBerry last year. I've spent hours on the phone with tech support (in Hong Kong where I live) and they had no idea how to resolve the problem. They even gave me 2 new phones, thinking maybe that would solve it. I'm extremely grateful for your help and just wish the tech support people over here were more familiar with their product.

This worked in the past with the old Desktop software (as pictured above) - but I'm now having issues with the new software. I have it set on both to sync forever, but now it wants to delete old calendar items. Any suggestions with new software? I have v. 7.1 Bundle 1737.
