deleted email setup application

[ Edited ]

Hi – need some serious help here - on my BB 9900 bold we have deleted the “email set-up application” by mistake – it’s not in application manager – when you try to open / setup personal email (internal mail account) the icon just doesn’t open ..

we dont have or dont need the company Enterprise acc

How do you re-instore this application Only  / or can I download the application again - or can some one point in the direction of reloading the phones software again - i would assume if you reload it would start afresh with the application

Please help- bad mistake – badly informed !!

Please use plain text.

Re: deleted email setup application

Do you have a BlackBerry Data Plan enabled on your account with your carrier or mobile provider? You must, in order to get the personal email setup icon, and much more. So, call your carrier and inquire about having the BlackBerry Data Plan added to your account.

Good luck.

Re: deleted email setup application

You can always reinstall the entire OS.

But first, there might be an easier way....

Do a simple reboot on the BlackBerry in this manner: With the BlackBerry device POWERED ON, remove the battery for a minute, and then reinsert the battery to reboot.  Does that reinstall it?

You can also try this: Go to your main Options/Settings > Device > Advanced > HRT and Menu key > Register Now.

Re: deleted email setup application

yepp tried that - the rebooting had no effect - the option/setting HRT etc etc - yes that got the email icn back however it the application that amiss, ie when you press the icon it goes no were >> my only option is to reload it seems - so how do you go about that, i have been all over the BB files, i merely need a simple direct "pu in your phone via usb" and reload the OS, please

Re: deleted email setup application

One more thing to try is using your BlackBerry browser, go to www.blackberry.com/integrate

Do you get your email setup options there?
