Hi, I was searching the net specifically to find out how to switch off the touch screen
I had no choice in getting the device as it is my company phone.
The touchscreen has caused endless problems in both cutting off calls and also making calls etc while the phone is in my pocket.
The really wierd thing is that after failing to find a way to switch the touchscreen has stopped working.
I have no idea how this happened but I can tell you I am now much happier with the device

If you don't want your touchscreen to work and it in fact, does not work, whatever you do, do not remove the battery and reinsert it. It will fix the touchscreen. Mine stopped working and it was ticking me off.... removed the battery and reinserted it, viola, all better.

Yes it is just like the old BB with only the button working to navigate. I have also been through a couple of battery out resets with no change. I wish I could workout what happened as I obviously could make some money on this

If you hit the device on a table just so... ![]()
Must have damaged something or broke a solder joint. Fortunate that it happened to you!
Yeah, my main beef is after I receive a call on my handsfree Bluetooth device with my BB in it's holster. The call ends, but the BB doesn't go back to sleep. Next thing I know people are on my Bluetooth saying, "Hello? HELLO?!?" ![]()

How do you know this if the call has ended?

Any progress on this? I also need an option to disable the touchscreen. The same reason for users above me. I think it's very easy for RIM to do that. They have good programmer.
