Hi all,
I've got a BB Bold 9650, my carrier is Sprint. Problem is when I try to download the Facebook app 2.0 (the previous version was working fine), it starts installing, then I get the following messages:
1) Application Facebook already exists. Replace version 1.9.0.28 with version 2.0.0.50? I click yes
2) Installing the updated item may overwrite existing data already stored on the device. DO you want to update anyway? click yes
3) There was a problem during installation. please try again.
Please help me I can not use FB anymore!
Tnx!
Chiara

Go to your Applications list. I'm not sure what OS you're running but in OS 5, from your homescreen it's Options>Applications. On OS 6 phones, it's Options>Device>Application Management. Find the app, press the menu key and select Delete.
Next, from your phone's browser type www.blackberry.com/facebook . It will give you a link to AppWorld as well as a link for your browser. If the AppWorld link works, go for it. If not, choose the browser link and away you go!
Let us know if that helps you. ![]()

Thank you for the prompt response!
Actually I forgot to mention that I have no FB applications in 'my applications'. I mean, the old version is not there anymore. And the new one doesn't download. In my previous email I reported the error messages I got when I try ing to download it form the Blackberry App World.
From the internet, I got '907 invalid COD' type of error.

The only thing I come up with when researching that is that your phone is associated with BES (BlackBerry Enterprise Server) and there's an internal server problem. Is your phone on BES? Here's an article dealing with it:
http://www.blackberry.com/btsc/KB15438
If that's the case then there appears to be no immediate solution. If you were on BES at one time and are no longer and you wish to cancel any BES connections on your phone, let us know and we can help you.
Hopefully I've been helpful to you. ![]()
