Me too....please.
I am on the THREE (UK) network and they don't have an upgrade to my current OS 4.6.0.216. Do I have to wait for them to give an update or is there a way of getting the latest updates from RIM directly? (Three in UK seem really new to the blackberry game and even their support is clueless telling me to speak to RIM instead).
Thanks in advance.

The carriers are responsible for supporting BB's...as such, they control the supported OS on the BB's on their network. You can find your carriers download site (which should also contain instructions) via this portal:
If you choose to use a version that is beyond your carriers supported version, then you are potentially going to be out of luck for support...most carriers won't provide you with support if you go beyond their supported version. Your warranty is not voided, however...but they may refuse to provide support to you.
Further, if you choose to go beyond your carriers supported version, then you are playing in beta-land...and results will be as all things beta are. You may find discussions in these forums about beta versions of device OS, but you will not find instructions as to where to obtain a leaked OS level...those are forbidden. But, if you discover the version that you desire, you can usually find it by using one of the more popular search engines.
Good luck and let us know!

Ok thanks for that. But, when other networks seem to be on later updates, how is it still a beta? I seen AT&T have version numbers *.297 etc and just wondering if they would work on my phone?
Thanks
