Re: mep code

Hi and Welcome to the Community!

At manufacture, all BBs are locked to one carrier in the world. Until the BB is unlocked, it can only be used on that original carrier. MEP codes to unlock the device, and thereby make it able to be used on other carriers, are available from various sources, and more information is available here:

Be very careful...if you use up all of your chances to enter the correct unlock code, there is nothing further you can do. Even if you happen to have later the correct code, it will be useless. In such a condition, only the factory could then (legally) unlock your BB.

If you have obtained an unlock code from somewhere but it is incorrect, your recourse could be with them to get them to provide you the correct code before you exhaust all attempts.

Good luck!
