no signal-SOS

I got my blackberry 9780 last february, i enjoyed using almost all its features but recently i got trouble using it since it cant detect signal and always SOS even if the network im with has good signal. Please advise what to do. Thank you.

Have you tried a battery pull recently?

 

With the device on, remove the battery. Wait about 10 seconds, then reinsert the battery.

 

See if that improves things.

Have you tried a different SIM card in your phone?
Usually SOS means the SIM card in your phone is not recognized by the carrier you're connected to.

yes, i tried with my other sim but with the same network im carrying. Problem is still there. but occassional.
