not receiving emails? help

I've turned off the devise and took the battery out and I'm still not receiving emails? Please help

Register your phone on the network to see if that helps. On your homescreen, go to Options>Advanced System Settings>Host Routing Table>(Menu Key)>Register Now.

Sorry, it's Options>Device....then the rest. You need Device between Options and Advanced System Settings.
