After trying 1000 options to getting my dead bold alive a went to a friend. The black screen, red led, issue is to due hardware failure. The only thing you can do is order a new mother board. Its not a great solution for whom got no warranty, but its a "solution" Please make sure you got a newer model mother board and use the newest available OS. I hope ya'll can do something with it.

Rim said it was a software related issue in their official statement.so would it be wise to buy a new mainboard?expensive hobby i rather wait for a software update then buy a new mainboard. Changin the mainboard gives not full guarantee that this bricking issue (when charge overnight with battery drain less then 10 percent) is resolved,cause it is an os7 reLated software problem... Hope to see some action from rim very soon.(Sigh....)
