'qwerty' not working

Please help,

I am locked out of my blackberry 9700. the security PIN appears when I press any button on the keyboard but when i attempt to enter my PIN it will not recognise anything on the right hand side. I have the latest software, have rebooted, its fully charged, Sim in and out, phone on and off etc.

How do i unlock my phone with only half a keyboard working?!?!?!

Hope you can Help,

Susie

Re: 'qwerty' not working

Susie, connect to a PC with the Desktop Software installed, and enter the password on the PC keyboard.

Then, since your BlackBerry device keyboard is not working, you will want to try to disable the password on the device which will require using the device keyboard, so you might have problems there.

While connected to the PC, perform a full backup to the PC of the device ...

Re: 'qwerty' not working

My computer has stopped recognising my phone. Have been advised to wipe phone completely on PC and start as new.

Re: 'qwerty' not working

Have been advised by whom?

If it won't connect to the PC to enter the password, you likely won't be able to wipe the device on the PC, right?

Do you have a backup of the device made previously to the PC?

Do you have BlackBerry Protect installed on the device?
