setting device password

Can someone please tell me what I'm doing wrong? I'm trying to set a password on my device. BB help says to go to the homescreen, click options, then click password. When I click options from my homescreen, all I have is homescreen preferences - wallpaper, layout, etc.

When your on your homescreen hit the Blackberry key beside the trackball and it shows all the app you have on your phone.

Oh! Duh. Sorry. Okay, so that is where I am when I click options and the only thing that comes up is my homescreen preferences. Nothing there that says password!
