strange thing when composing an SMS

Something strange happens, when I type in a name in SMS & MMS, thats in the contacts lets say, and press enter or press the trackball, for some reason it also brings up another TO: on the second line, is this normal?

Yes, that is normal, same way with email as well. It automatically gives you the slot for a second To:, but that remains blank and your recipient does not see it.
