Re: taking pictures blackberry bold

Do you receive error messages?  If yes, what are they?

When you attempt to send a picture, does the sending "time out" - ??

Have you tried sending the picture in a smaller size format?

OS 5 and 6 can send pictures ... any more information you might provide will be helpful.  Thanks!

For the record, you can also send pics with OS 7. :smileyhappy:

- If my response has helped you, please click "Options" beside my post and mark it as solved. Clicking the "thumbs up" icon near the bottom of my response would also be appreciated.

Re: taking pictures blackberry bold

Not sure if you recvd my message just now, possible duplicate

There is simply no possibility to send a picture, as there is no button in the menu like "send"

Have cheked this with others who have the same BB Bold, but they do have this option, whilst mine is lacking.

How can this be solved?

tks help

Re: taking pictures blackberry bold

This is not a pleasant problem!  We as wireless service subscribers are at the mercy of what features and functions the wireless service provider chooses to allow us to have access to/use/enjoy.  That said,  I find it hard to believe that sending pictures would be blocked by Vodaphone.  Double-check your account and/or profile on-line and account preferences to be sure - maybe something like a security feature is installed?  Are there any other Vodaphone subscribers out there who can add insight into this issue?

When I open a picture on my OS 6 BlackBerry, and click on the main menu button ("B" icon), the list reads:

Switch Application

Copy

Rename

Properties

Delete

View Slide Show

Set Wallpaper

Assign to Contact

Send >  Email > Select an Image Size, etc.

               Online Album,

               Text Message,

               Facebook,

               Bluetooth.

If I took a survey of a device and found that other features in drop-down menus were missing, unfortunately, I would have to back up the device, wipe it, and reinstall the software.  :smileymad:

Re: taking pictures blackberry bold

Hi, Tom,

Yes, I would ask your company BlackBerry or system administrators about this.  Also check if you are missing other commands and/or features.  Before you turn your device in, be sure to back up your data first or ensure they will and in turn will restore the data.  The admins may simply "wipe" the phone and re-install the OS, which will re-set the device to factory default settings and delete all data.  Many company BES admins don't have time to deal with software glitches; re-installing the OS the fastest  fix for them.

Good luck,

elainem77
