track pad on 9700 not working

can't do anything with the trackpoad, select, scroll, nothing. dunno what the cause is. ive experienced this before and it sorta went away but now its reoccured for a longer period of time. PLEASE HELP

Hello,

 

You could try re-installing your software, as a fault with your software could be what's causing it. Plug your phone into a computer that has the Blackberry Desktop Software installed (if you don't have this it's www.blackberry.com > Apps & Software > Blackberry Desktop Software > Download it today)

 

The Desktop Software should offer an update, if it says there are none available select 'view other versions' and re-install your current version (It will be highlighted in bold)

 

If this doesn't resolve the issue it will be hardware related. You will need to either contact your service provider for replacement, or if you're outside of warrantee you may need to look into insurace/repair
