uncaught exception errror, new version BB protect, messaging error

I just uploaded the new version of BB protect on my 9900 (At &t)  and opened the file to read the messages.  Once i've opened a message the entire phone locks up.  I have to turn it off and back on again.  When i turn it back on again I get an uncaught exception message.  Should I delete BB protect and reload?  Not sure how to handle it, I don't see a way to upgrade it again.

Hello,

Yes, you should do as you are considering...remove and reinstall BB Protect.

BTW -- are you perhaps on BES? If so, that could be problematic...

Not sure what BES is, but I don't think I'm on it.
