BlackBerry Curve 8500 Series Smartphone

Hello !

I would like to be able to display chinese on my Blackberry 8520,

However, when I try to download the East Asia Handheld Software, I keep stuck on the page where I have to

register : the required-to-register-and-download country list does not load.

My browser informs me it is connected to smetrics.blackberry.com and it seems the page keeps loading...
But, nothing happens. As I cannot select my country, I cannot download the handheld software.

I tried to download it from another "mobile company" on this page http://na.blackberry.com/eng/support/downloads/download_sites.jsp but I have the same issue.

Is there another way to download the East Asia Handheld Software ?

Does the same thing happen if you try using another browser, or even another computer?

I agree, you have a problem on your PC it appears.

Try even turning off your PC and reboot, or a different PC altogether.

Strange, maybe it's the place I connect from... At my place, it works but currently downloads at 6800 o/s (a 5-hours download) : I currently wait my new connection using an unstable wireless network that can ... At my university I had the problem I wrote about.... Or maybe a temporary problem....

Actually at the university It seemed to work one time but I had the same download rate... decreasing and decreasing (I can usually download at 2400 ko/s there -_-

Here it begins around 6800 o/s then the rate moves a bit then it stops after something like 2 Mo (Mb?).

And I can't resume the download

... but I don't have this kind of problem on other downloads... Problem coming from BB servers ?

Yep, could be the RIM servers, although I don't notice anyone else having these issue currently.

It seems it is faster today... I'll try again as soon as I've time.
