I have a blackberry 8520 and for the last 2 weeks I have been watching my phantom emails grow in number, I have tried everything suggested, went trough all folders, checked settings, changed settings you name it, please is there anything else I have not tried, its making me crazy

Can you please clarify what you mean by Phantom Emails?

The email icon is there at the top of my screen telling me I have mail, except there is none in my inbox or anywhere else for that matter, no text messages or anything,just the notification, 12 and the orange/yellow envelope

Have you also tried deleting the mailboxes then registering them again on your 8520?

Try this -

When you device is POWERED ON, remove the battery for a minute, and then reinsert the battery. This make a reboot to your device which minor issues with the BlackBerry device.

Tried that a few times, does noting they just come back

Go to your emails settings and remove the mailboxes from your phone... Power off... Then add them again...
