I have installed DM 4.7.
I have installed OS 4.5.0.110 to my PC (downloaded from AT&T).
One set of instructions on the forums says to launch DM to install the OS on the Curve.
Another set of instructions on the forums says to use loader.exe.
When I use DM, it says there is a new version (4.5), but how would it know what I've installed on the PC. (The message actually had come up before I installed the AT&T 4.5 version to my PC).
It would seem to me that I would have to "point" to the AT&T 4.5.0.110 version on my PC.
I'd hate to do the Upgrade from DM and then find out it's not 4.5.0.110.
Geez, you'd think AT&T would put a Read Me file with their release... or there would be consistent instructions somewhere.

Either way is fine. Using the loader method alone insures that you don't have delete any vendor.xml files, which in your case doesn't matter since you are loading an ATT branded OS anyway.
The DM method recognizes you have the upgraded OS loaded (installed) on your PC because it reads the folder ("shared") on your PC and see that you have it installed, and prompts you for an upgrade.
Go for it.

Used Loader.exe... worked like a charm! (so far, he said confidently). ![]()
Now, I have to update Handheld Contact.
