Hello,
I have an 8300 which seems to have a problem with the software.
Often, when I am in the middle of a call the phone will suddenyl reboot itself and go through its set up procedure; terminating the call and basically behaving as if the battery had been removed.
I have checked the battery and it has a very good connection so I am at a loos to explain it.
Does anyone else have an 8300 with this problem? Is there an updated firmware I can download if it is a software issue?
Help!!
Thanks and best wishes

I followed the instructions on the Blackberry Web site for wiping the Blackberry and re-installing the siftware but when I get to the advanced screen which allows me to erase all applications the boxes are greyed out and so I can't select them.
I am not sure which way to turn now.

Hi Dan,
Which OS version are you running?
(press Alt-Shift-H for a status report)
One of the first things I did when I got my 8320 was to upgrade to v4.5
I've not had any problems so far (touch wood...)

Craig,
Platform 2.4.0.53
App Version 4.2.2.114 (222)
Does that make any sense to you? I have tried to find version 4.5 on the Blackberry site but to no avail.

Hi Dan,
You have to go to the BlackBerry Desktop and Device Software Download Sites page.
Select the link to the appropriate service provider.
Unfortunately, not all providers have OS v4.5 available for download.
Good luck!
